The Discover Autumn initiative, hosted by lyf Shibuya Tokyo, lyf Ginza Tokyo, and lyf Tenjin Fukuoka, promises a series of hands-on community events that celebrate the artistry and culture of the season. A Weekend of Sensory Discovery

The first highlight begins with a workshop presented by the Rei brand from September 9 to 12, where participants can craft their own personalized fragrances. Guided by skilled artisans, you will learn the nuances of scent creation while reminiscing about your travels and current inspirations. The accompanying exhibition will showcase Rei's products, enriching your interaction with the world of aromas.

Similarly, from September 11 to 24, an art pop-up store by illustrator and author Aoi Nishiyama will brighten the hotel lobby space. Featuring nostalgic illustrations that evoke emotion through color and character, visitors will have the chance to purchase unique artwork and merchandise, turning the lobby into a temporary gallery.

Dive Deeper into Japanese Culture

On September 18, guests can immerse themselves in the transformative KANJI Name Art™ Experience led by calligrapher and artist Shoko. Here, participants can create their own original kanji art reflecting their names or favorite words. This innovative session is a way to appreciate the beauty of traditional Japanese calligraphy while producing a one-of-a-kind keepsake.

Then, on September 21, the exclusive Kopiya Coffee Tasting Experience will introduce locals and travelers to the flavors of Singapore's famed kopi coffee. With the opportunity to savor rich, imported coffee beans, this event aims to cultivate connections within the community, encouraging dialogue and exchange among participants.

Showcasing Artisan Craftsmanship

From September 25 to 28, meet the talented artist collective known as betty, offering a showcase of handcrafted bags. At lyf Ginza Tokyo, art enthusiasts can look forward to the Defining Works photography exhibition by Ayesh Seneviratne from September 5 to 13. This collection captures the synergy between automobiles and landscapes, presenting visually captivating narratives that resonate with car enthusiasts and travelers alike.

Further south, lyf Tenjin Fukuoka will host a textile showcase in collaboration with yatotto from October 1 to November 1. Featuring the artist Kazuhiko Ifuku’s stunning textile designs, this pop-up aims to create a dialogue about the intersections of art, community, and fashion, allowing guests to truly experience the artistry firsthand.
