Sharp Unveils Innovative P Series LCD Laser Projectors

Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America has recently announced the launch of its P Series LCD laser projectors, a product designed to deliver exceptional performance and installation flexibility for corporate and educational environments. This new line includes models XP-P621U-W and XP-P701U-W, leveraging NEC's robust engineering legacy as they transition to the Sharp brand.

The P Series projectors boast various features aimed at simplifying the installation process. The manual horizontal and vertical lens shifts provide significant installation flexibility, while the broad 1.6x zoom lens makes it easier for integrators to install the projectors in virtually any location. Additionally, the integration of HDBaseT input allows for the transmission of audio, video, network, and control signals through a single cable, greatly streamlining setup.

Installation options are enhanced by crucial features like tilt-free and roll-free capabilities, making floor, ceiling, and portrait projection versatile and accessible. These projectors achieve a remarkable brightness of up to 7,000 lumens, ensuring both vibrant and clear images even in well-lit environments. This is particularly beneficial for larger spaces typically found in corporate settings, educational institutions, museums, and commercial facilities, where visibility is a priority.

One of the standout features of the Sharp P Series is its patented sealed cooling system that eliminates the need for filters, providing a whisper-quiet operation without additional maintenance. This aspect of the projectors not only enhances user experience but also positions them among the few no-filter, no-maintenance LCD laser projectors available.

As Ryan Pitterle, Senior Product Manager for Projectors at Sharp Display Solutions, notes, “The P Series signifies our ongoing commitment to revolutionizing projection technology. By integrating advanced features such as filter-free design and whisper-quiet operation along with practical installation options, we deliver a dependable solution suitable for various applications.”

Beyond installation flexibility and ease of use, the P Series guarantees superior image quality with its WUXGA resolution (1920x1200), compatibility with 4K UHD signals, and advanced scaling capabilities up to 219. This ensures high-quality visuals that enhance presentations and viewing experiences, making the projectors an excellent investment for long-term use.

With a reliable laser light source rated for 20,000 hours of use, the projectors are designed for set-and-forget operation, eliminating the frequent lamp replacements that can burden similar products. The new P Series projectors will be available for order beginning in January 2026 through authorized Sharp partners and resellers, supported by a leading five-year or 20,000-hour warranty on parts and labor, whichever comes first.

In sum, Sharp continues to set new benchmarks in projection technology, enhancing both ease of installation and performance levels to meet the needs of modern corporate and educational environments.
