Miraisaka's Summer Gourmet Fair
From May 21 to July 15, 2024, the popular izakaya chain
Miraisaka, operated by
Watami Inc., will celebrate the flavors of Kansai with a special culinary event titled the
Kansai Summer Gourmet Fair. This limited-time fair will be held across all 88 Miraisaka locations nationwide, showcasing regional delicacies and iconic dishes inspired by the local cuisine.
Celebrate Kansai's Culinary Heritage
In honor of the Osaka Expo, Miraisaka has curated a menu that highlights the region's authentic flavors. Among the delicacies are sashimi made from naturally sourced sea bream from Izumi, and a refreshing umeshu-flavored carpaccio. Guests can also indulge in a massive 24cm-long chicken skewer, featuring the restaurant's signature
jumbo katsu. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to try Kansai's famous
niku-sui, alongside a unique dish called
Negiyaki Bokkake Soba Meshi, which incorporates an array of ingredients featuring Kyotan green onions, beef tendon, and konnyaku braised in a sweet and savory sauce.
To complement these tantalizing dishes, Miraisaka will offer summer cocktails made with
Sui Gin, distilled in Osaka, and nostalgic
mix juice that captures the essence of summer. This menu is specially designed to provide guests with a refreshing culinary experience during the warmer months.
A Premium Ice Cream Treat from Watami Farms
One of the highlights of the fair is the exclusive
Grass-Fed Ice Cream, made from organic
Beniharuka sweet potatoes sourced from Chiba’s Sawara Farm and grass-fed milk from Watami Farms’ Bihorotake Ranch. Known for practicing pasture-based dairy farming, which only accounts for 2% of the industry in Japan, Watami is offering this exquisite ice cream once again this year after last summer's phenomenal success, where 24,000 units were sold in just one week. Make sure to try this natural ice cream at your nearest Miraisaka location!
