BTQ Technologies Launches QuREKA Quantum Cloud at Quantum Korea 2026 with MIMIQ Technology

BTQ Technologies Launches QuREKA Quantum Cloud at Quantum Korea 2026

From July 2 to 4, 2026, BTQ Technologies Corp. made a significant splash at Quantum Korea 2026, held at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul, where it officially unveiled the commercial version of the QuREKA quantum cloud platform. This pioneering technology harnesses MIMIQ™, a cutting-edge quantum emulator developed by QPerfect SAS, which is on track to become a wholly-owned subsidiary of BTQ following the completion of an anticipated acquisition.

Transforming the Quantum Landscape

The launch of QuREKA represents a critical milestone not only for BTQ but for the entire quantum computing landscape. This hybrid platform integrates CPU, GPU, and quantum processing unit (QPU) resources into a seamless cloud environment. Researchers and enterprises are now able to design, test, and execute quantum algorithms, significantly pushing the boundaries of contemporary quantum computing capabilities. MIMIQ enables users to handle quantum circuits with thousands of qubits, which is a substantial leap away from the limitations of existing hardware.

Olivier Roussy Newton, BTQ’s CEO and Chairman, emphasized, "QuREKA's commercial launch aligns perfectly with our strategy and vision for deepening our relationship with key regional partners like SDT. It not only enables Korean institutions direct access to advanced quantum technologies but also fortifies our position in one of the most pivotal markets globally."

The QuREKA Ecosystem

With SDT operating the QuREKA platform in South Korea, customers can seamlessly benefit from MIMIQ's capabilities. This partnership is set to enhance quantum research and commercial endeavors within the nation’s advanced tech ecosystem. The collaboration signifies a robust commercial channel through which BTQ aims to expand its quantum software offerings, further enhancing user experiences and operational efficiency in quantum research.

Moreover, SDT has plans to showcase its broader quantum technology portfolio during the exhibition. A highlight will include their proprietary Quantum Design and Manufacturing (QDM) systems, along with a newly developed 4K cryogenic system designed for chip-based ion traps and quantum communication platforms. Additionally, SDT will introduce a next-generation precision control system tailored for fault-tolerant quantum processing, optimized for complex multi-qubit environments.

Engaging with Industry Leaders

At Quantum Korea 2026, BTQ participated in the Korea-Canada Roundtable, aimed at fostering long-term cooperation between respective quantum ecosystems. This event underscores BTQ's commitment to building vital international partnerships and enhancing collaborative efforts between academia and industry to bolster quantum applications.

The series of discussions included key quantum partners and leading academics, highlighting how collaboration in the quantum space is fundamental to driving innovation and technology advancements.

Future Perspectives

BTQ Technologies' unveiling of QuREKA not only marks an essential chapter in BTQ's business narrative but also sets the stage for the future of quantum computing on a global scale. By leveraging its extensive technological capabilities and fostering strategic partnerships, BTQ is poised to lead the charge into the quantum era, promising exciting advancements for various sectors such as finance, telecommunications, and healthcare.

As BTQ continues to finalize its acquisition of QPerfect, the integration of MIMIQ into the QuREKA platform is anticipated to usher in a new dimension of commercial quantum solutions available to researchers and institutions worldwide.
