On July 10, 2025, NetSys Japan, located in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, held an engaging workshop in collaboration with Niigata University titled 'Industry-Academia Partnership Lecture Workshop.' Led by Professor Mou Yun from the International Exchange Center, the workshop aimed to enhance problem-solving skills, leadership, and teamwork among students across various disciplines.
The event attracted approximately 30 participants and focused on current trends within the hotel and IT industries. The company provided an overview of its business and the various IT solutions it offers. Students were divided into groups and tasked with brainstorming ideas on one of three topics: new service ideas for hotels, utilizing AI technology, and talent recruitment.
The workshops saw lively discussions among groups, resulting in presentations of their conclusions. Students suggested practical enhancements, such as streamlined online check-ins and check-outs without physical front-desk interactions, and the desire for VR previews of hotel rooms to alleviate guest anxieties, showcasing their creativity and innovative thinking.
After the presentations, a roundtable discussion took place, where students were encouraged to ask questions about career opportunities. NetSys Japan staff provided insights and advice regarding job hunting, emphasizing their commitment to supporting students through ongoing workshops. They welcome requests from educational institutions for similar collaboration.
