About the Speaker


Yukinori Kawae
Born in 1972 in Hyogo Prefecture, Kawae graduated from the American University in Cairo with a degree in Egyptology and completed his doctoral studies at Nagoya University. With experience as a researcher at the Ancient Egypt Research Associates, Inc., he currently serves as a professor at Nagoya University’s Center for Digital Humanities. Kawae has been at the forefront of 3D measurement studies of pyramids, successfully conducting fieldwork on the three Great Pyramids of Giza and the oldest step pyramid. He has appeared on popular media, including TBS's "Sekai Fushigi Kiken" and NHK specials, and runs a YouTube channel called
