What We Offer

Ichiru offers a variety of courses aimed at all levels of learners. The introductory course includes:

• - Basic Kimono Dressing: Understand the fundamentals of kimono-wearing, from selecting the right garment to mastering the art of dressing.
• - Free Kimono Rental: You don’t need to worry about bringing any equipment; we provide a complete set of kimono attire usually worth thousands of yen for free.
• - Affordable Pricing: Each two-hour lesson costs only 500 yen, totaling 4,000 yen for eight sessions, all inclusive of tax.
• - Flexible Schedule: Classes run over approximately three months, allowing students to attend sessions at their convenience.
• - Small Group Learning: Enjoy personalized attention and an interactive environment where you can ask questions as you learn.
• - Cultural Insights: Gain knowledge about kimono and learn graceful movements and etiquettes associated with wearing it.
• - Online Resources: We provide video content for you to review and practice at home.

Progress to Advanced Levels

Once you complete the beginner's course, you can advance to intermediate, advanced, and specialty certification courses. This structured progression helps you hone your skills based on your individual pace and ambitions. Regardless of age or prior experience, if you have an interest in trying out kimonos, we welcome you!

Dedicated to fostering a deeper appreciation for kimono culture, Ichiru is recognized by the Japan Kimono Association. We not only teach how to wear kimonos but also organize various outreach events to ensure a delightful kimono experience for our students. Founded in February 1991 and listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Ichiku Co. Ltd. pursues both kimono and wedding business. We operate 115 branches and an e-commerce site across Japan, providing kimono sales and rentals, photo services for ceremonies, and hassle-free dressing experiences.
