Overcoming Bullying: Join the Teaching Team at Kizuki Co-Education

From Bullying to Teaching: A Journey of Empowerment

A Personal Journey

The experiences of being bullied can leave a lasting mark on an individual, shaping their view of education and personal growth. One such example is that of a current employee at Kizuki Co-Education, who overcame a challenging childhood marked by bullying. This story is not just about despair; it is about resilience, empowerment, and the transformative power of education.

Graduating from Waseda University’s School of Political Science and Economics, this individual reflects on their past, where being visually impaired led to a difficult childhood. Starting school, they often found themselves the target of bullies. However, instead of succumbing to the negativity, they discovered solace and strength in academics. During their third year of elementary school, they immersed themselves in their studies, which fundamentally changed their perspective on life. They learned that education is not just about gaining knowledge; it’s a gateway to self-confidence and personal growth.

Kizuki Co-Education’s Mission

Founded in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Kizuki Co-Education aims to provide learning and employment opportunities to individuals facing various challenges, such as school refusal, developmental disorders, depression, and poverty. As a social business dedicated to the fields of education and welfare, Kizuki has consistently achieved over 150% growth annually since its inception.

On September 9, 2025, Kizuki will host an online informational session for prospective teaching assistants, intending to recruit those who are passionate about supporting students with diverse challenges. The participants of this session will gain insights into Kizuki’s vision, working conditions for tutors, and real-life success stories that highlight the impact of their work.

Who Should Apply?

Kizuki is looking for warm-hearted individuals who can relate to students in need, rather than those with specific qualifications or teaching experience. The goal is to nurture a compassionate educational environment where former students can become allies.
