New Data Output Feature for Food Standards in BtoB Platform Launched

Infomart Enhances BtoB Platform with New Feature

Infomart, headquartered in Minato City, Tokyo, has recently introduced a vital feature for its BtoB platform specification document service. This new data output functionality now allows users to export product specification data directly to the 'Sōken-kun Standard Specification Document' (Excel format) which is designed for food labels, provided by FCG Consulting, a research institution associated with the Fujisankei Group. This new feature was officially launched on August 28, 2025.

Product specification documents play a crucial role in the food industry as they compile essential information regarding product names, ingredients, country of origin, allergen information, and nutritional composition. Manufacturers utilize these documents for product planning, production, and inspection, while food service companies rely on them to provide accurate information to consumers. However, the lack of a standardized format for these documents in Japan has posed significant challenges for food-related businesses who often find themselves creating various versions tailored to each client.

New Data Output Feature for 'Sōken-kun Standard Specification Document'

The BtoB Platform Specification Document provided by Infomart converts product specification information into a digital format, allowing seamless management of submission requests, document creation, and modifications between restaurants, wholesalers, and manufacturers. As of August 2025, this service has been utilized by over 10,000 companies.

With the recently added data output feature, users can now conveniently export product specification documents created with the BtoB Platform into the 'Sōken-kun Standard Specification Document' format. This streamlined process allows businesses to register product specification data once and efficiently submit it in a compatible format to multiple trading partners. This approach not only boosts operational efficiency but also significantly reduces the risk of input errors.

Background of Data Collaboration

Infomart and FCG Consulting initiated their data collaboration effort in 2023 to enhance the efficiency of product specification information exchange. In June 2023, information gathered via the BtoB Platform was linked to the Sōken-kun system, drastically cutting down the time and effort needed to gather essential food label information. This synergy enables the accurate and speedy creation of compliant labels.

Future plans include an expansive mutual data exchange capability by December 2024, allowing product specification data generated by Sōken-kun to be linked back to the BtoB Platform. Through these continuous joint efforts, both companies aim to support improved productivity and operational efficiency within the food industry, further ensuring safe and reliable food supply.

Additionally, a seminar is planned for this fall to introduce the new data output feature. More details will be provided on the BtoB Platform's service site once finalized.
