Grand Circle Corporation Supports Boston Communities with $240,000 Grant

In a significant commitment to community welfare, Grand Circle Corporation has announced a $240,000 sponsorship over three years for Rebuilding Together Boston. This initiative aims to facilitate essential home repairs, community revitalization projects, and fundraising efforts in various neighborhoods across Boston. The partnership underscores Grand Circle’s dedication to improving local living conditions by directly investing in community assets.

The support from Grand Circle will provide $50,000 annually for four dedicated ReBuild events. These events will target the repair and revitalization of homes and community centers, ensuring that they remain functional and safe for residents. Furthermore, as part of the initiative, Grand Circle has pledged to contribute $30,000 each year in the form of travel experiences that will be used in fundraising auctions to further assist Rebuilding Together's mission.

"For over three decades, Grand Circle employees have actively volunteered to support Boston homeowners by carrying out vital repairs on homes and community spaces that many residents depend on," said Janice Walker, Executive Director of Rebuilding Together Boston. "We are profoundly grateful for this substantial sponsorship as it will allow us to reach more families in need, helping to repair their homes and revitalizing their communities."

The focus of this partnership aligns with Grand Circle Corporation’s ethos of community engagement and social responsibility. This funding helps address critical housing issues in Boston, including the challenges posed by an aging housing stock, a population of cost-burdened homeowners, and a shortage of affordable housing options. By supporting initiatives like these, Grand Circle plays a vital role in helping long-term residents, including veterans and families with disabilities, remain in their homes and communities.

Brian FitzGerald, CEO of Grand Circle Corporation, commented, "To us, travel is more than just an adventure; it’s about forging meaningful connections between individuals and the communities they inhabit. This belief extends beyond our travelers to the neighborhoods where our employees live and work, making support for Rebuilding Together Boston a natural extension of our mission."

Rebuilding Together Boston is instrumental in actively addressing housing instability and the risk of homelessness by organizing volunteer efforts and collaborating with tradespeople and community organizations. Their work primarily serves the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) community, with 95% of clients identifying as part of these demographics. The organization holds a strong track record, having completed more than 700 renovation projects valued at over $8.5 million over the past 35 years.

Residents interested in benefiting from Rebuilding Together Boston's services can apply directly through their official website.
