Discovering Creativity: The 13th Itabashi Free Research Exhibition 2025-2026

The Itabashi Educational Science Museum proudly announces the upcoming exhibition titled the "13th Itabashi Free Research Exhibition," scheduled to take place in two phases: the first from December 7, 2025, to January 11, 2026, and the second from January 13 to January 16, 2026. This event aims to delve into the unseen factors that influence artistic and research endeavors, highlighting the importance of understanding the backgrounds that contribute to the creation of displayed works.

At the heart of this exhibition is the idea that what seems like a simple piece of artwork is actually composed of many invisible elements shaped by the artist’s experiences. These elements may include their interests cultivated since childhood, insights gained from interactions with others, and the influence of their everyday environment.

Although as viewers, we might find it challenging to grasp these connecting threads just by observing the pieces on display, the exhibition offers a unique opportunity to do so. By exploring the captivating motivations behind each creation, attendees can gain insight into the thought processes of the young researchers, and perhaps find inspiration for their paths ahead.

This year, the exhibition aims to visualize the multitude of elements intertwined within the award-winning entries. Visitors will witness the genuine, free-spirited thoughts and inquiry processes of these young researchers and creators—whose innocent perspectives may very well hold the potential for shaping the world of tomorrow.
