The Union Home Mortgage Foundation, established as the philanthropic wing of Union Home Mortgage, is dedicated to empowering families through essential resources and financial literacy tools. As part of its mission to foster economic self-sufficiency, the Foundation has recently announced the recipients of its fourth quarter grants for 2024. A total of $52,500 has been allocated to nine nonprofits throughout the United States, aimed at facilitating financial independence and housing accessibility in various communities.

Bill Cosgrove, CEO of Union Home Mortgage, expressed excitement over the completion of a successful grant cycle in 2024, emphasizing the importance of supporting organizations making a substantial difference. He stated, "Union Home Mortgage is overjoyed to close out 2024 on a high note with this grant cycle. It's crucial for us to support the critical work being done by these organizations across the country."

In her remarks, Ashley Ali, Director of Corporate Communications, also highlighted the Foundation’s growth and commitment to nurturing nonprofit partnerships. "2024 was an incredible year for the Union Home Mortgage Foundation, and we're excited to work with these 9 nonprofits going into 2025. While some are returning organizations to us, we've added three new organizations into the fold," she noted. The Foundation has made a significant impact since its inception in 2015, distributing over $2 million across 22 states to support initiatives focused on financial education and housing.

Grant Recipients



The funds from this grant cycle will support a variety of initiatives across different states:

1. Indianapolis, Indiana - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana
Awarded $10,000 to enhance the Big Futures Career and College Readiness Program. With this funding, the program aims to serve over 450 high school students, offering events designed to bridge the gap between education and workforce readiness. Participants will develop essential skills, gain insight into various career paths, and connect with professionals to bolster their future prospects.

2. Cleveland, Ohio - CHN Housing Partners
Received $10,000 for their Lease Purchase Program, which provides families earning at or below 60% of Area Median Income a path to homeownership over a 15-year period. This program combines affordable rentals with comprehensive counseling to ensure families are prepared for the responsibilities of owning a home.

3. Cleveland, Ohio - Enterprise Community Partners
Received $5,000 to support the Lotus project, creating supportive housing for young adults leaving homelessness, with on-site services to aid their transition to stability.
