Generac Appoints Niccolò Borracchini as Executive Vice President of International Operations
Generac Holdings Inc., a prominent designer and manufacturer of energy technology solutions, has officially announced the promotion of Niccolò Borracchini to the role of Executive Vice President for International Operations. This decision is strategic, as it comes after the retirement of Paolo Campinoti, who has significantly contributed to Pramac's rise as a global brand over the past three decades. Borracchini, who has been with Pramac since its acquisition by Generac in 2016, has played an essential role in expanding the company’s footprint beyond North America.
Borracchini’s appointment is part of Generac’s commitment to enhancing its global operations. In his new capacity, he will spearhead efforts for the Generac and Pramac brands outside the United States and Canada, directly reporting to the company's CEO, Aaron Jagdfeld. Generac aims to leverage Borracchini's extensive industry experience and knowledge to fortify international business strategies.
As stated by Jagdfeld, "Paolo has been instrumental in transforming Pramac into a globally recognized power production brand. His leadership has been pivotal in establishing crucial business relationships and the international brand that Pramac represents today. We are fortunate to have his guidance as he transitions to an advisory role, ensuring continuity in our strategic initiatives."
Prior to this promotion, Borracchini held the title of Senior Vice President for International Operations, a role he assumed in 2024. His journey with Pramac began back in 2015, when he started as the Group’s General Manager. His leadership and vision were crucial during the integration of Pramac with Generac, facilitating a smooth transition and subsequent international market penetration.
Borracchini expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, asserting, "I am honored to step into this enhanced role, building upon the remarkable foundations established by Paolo. I eagerly anticipate collaborating with our international teams to further Generac’s global presence and strengthen our client relationships, all while realizing our shared mission to 'Power a Smarter World'.”
Before joining Pramac, Borracchini demonstrated his expertise in private equity, working with MPVenture and Emisys Capital, focusing on mid-market companies in diverse sectors including industry, consumer goods, and media. He holds a master's degree in management and a bachelor's in economics and management from the University of Siena, both achieved with honors. Notably, Borracchini also spent a year in Germany as part of the Erasmus program at the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, further broadening his international business acumen.
Generac itself has established a reputation for being a leader in energy solutions, providing individuals and businesses with powerful, flexible energy options. Founded in 1959, the company has become a global leader in manufacturing a wide array of energy solutions, from power generation equipment to energy storage systems and energy management devices. As it moves forward under Borracchini's leadership, Generac aims to remain at the forefront of innovation in energy technology, consistently pushing towards more resilient and efficient energy solutions.
The promotion of Niccolò Borracchini signifies Generac’s focus on robust global expansion and the drive to enhance its international operations. With his experience and commitment to the company's mission, there is considerable optimism regarding the future trajectory of Generac’s global endeavors. As challenges in the energy sector evolve, Borracchini is well-poised to navigate these changing dynamics and capitalize on new opportunities worldwide.
