TWESB Introduces 'Give & Receive': A Pioneering Egg Donation and Preservation Program

TWESB's Innovative 'Give & Receive' Program

In a groundbreaking step towards helping individuals fulfill their dreams of parenthood while safeguarding their own fertility for the future, the World Egg and Sperm Bank (TWESB) has launched the 'Give & Receive' program. This avant-garde initiative enables egg donors to donate their eggs to prospective parents while simultaneously preserving their own eggs, all at no cost.

As an ethical leader in the collection and storage of sperm and eggs since its inception, TWESB aims to provide a valuable service not only for those seeking to build families but also for young adults thinking ahead about their reproductive health. Under this new scheme, participants can donate their eggs and, as a part of the process, receive up to 12 of their own eggs frozen for later use. This initiative places a strong emphasis on empowerment and informed choices in family planning, as explained by CEO Diana Thomas.

A Unique Offer for Donors

The 'Give & Receive' program stands out in its dual approach: while facilitating donations, it encourages the preservation of fertility, which is a rare opportunity in the realm of fertility services. Participating donors will not only have their eggs frozen but will also undergo comprehensive fertility tests and genetic screenings. This crucial data can play an essential role should they choose to conceive in the future.

Upon the successful clinical review of the first donation, the donors who participate in the program may qualify for another set of benefits, including the option for a third donation that adds up to an additional 12 frozen eggs. This tiered structure makes the program particularly appealing for young donors who are considering their reproductive options.

Diana Thomas remarked on the current societal challenges, noting that as birth rates decline and reproductive options become limited for many, the 'Give & Receive' program embodies an empowering approach.
