The 18th Tokyu Kids Program: A Journey into Real-World Experiences

From November 1 to December 21, 2025, Tokyu Group organized an exciting series of hands-on activities aimed at elementary school students and their parents, marking the successful conclusion of the 18th edition of the Tokyu Kids Program. This experience offered a unique opportunity for families to engage in various programs developed by a total of 22 companies and 2 organizations within the Tokyu Group. Over 350 families, totaling 700 participants, were thrilled to take part in these enriching activities.

The primary goal of the Tokyu Kids Program is to immerse children and their guardians into social experiences while deepening their understanding of the diverse services provided by the Tokyu Group, which plays a significant role in everyday life. This year’s program featured a total of 35 courses, highlighting various professional insights from esteemed fields. Notable programs incorporated into this event included learning about the handling and exhibition of ancient art under the guidance of curators at Goto Museum, as well as interactive experiences with staff at Tokyu Railways, who demonstrated ticketing operations.

New additions this year further enriched the experience. Collaborating with firefighters, the program introduced lessons on safety management at commercial facilities. Children also participated in activities such as planting flowers, designed station concepts, and experienced driving school simulations. These diverse offerings made the event unique, attracting significant interest from the children, who entered spaces they ordinarily might never access.

Engaging Children in Real-Life Work Environments

Participants expressed an overwhelming sense of enjoyment throughout the various activities. Initially shy and nervous, many kids left each session with bright eyes and enthusiastic comments, such as “I had so much fun! I want to do this again!” Parents echoed these sentiments, appreciating the chance to partake in authentic job experiences alongside their kids, with remarks like, “I enjoyed learning together with my child.” This shared journey added immense value to the program, allowing both generations to learn and grow together.

For the employees involved, witnessing the curiosity and delight of the children while working in their respective fields served as significant motivation and affirmed the importance of this initiative. The consistent success of the Tokyu Kids Program, now in its 18th year, shapes the ethos of the Tokyu Group, deriving from a commitment to inspire children about future possibilities. The organization aims to continue delivering meaningful social experience opportunities through its vast range of services.
