Successful Conclusion of Furniture China and Maison Shanghai 2026



The 31st China International Furniture Expo (Furniture China 2026) and Maison Shanghai 2026, organized by CNFA and IM Sinoexpo, recently concluded with great success in the Pudong district of Shanghai. The events were held from September 7 to 11 at two major venues: the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) and the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center (SWEECC). Featuring an expansive area of 350,000 square meters across 50 exhibition halls, these trade shows welcomed over 3,200 brands and exhibitors and recorded an impressive 180,448 visitors, marking a 10.3% increase compared to the previous year.

Record International Attendance


Among the visitors, a record number of 37,394 foreign attendees participated, which marks a remarkable 14.6% increase, including 22,080 international visitors. The majority of international attendees hailed from Asia (excluding the Middle East), comprising 53.82% of the total, followed by Europe with 21.26%. Notable countries represented include South Korea, Russia, and Japan. Domestically, the event attracted 143,054 visitors primarily from Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu provinces.

Diverse Visitor Demographics


The audience consisted mainly of professional buyers, designers, and design agencies, accounting for over three-quarters of the attendees. Among the visitors, 25.43% were seeking suppliers and business partners, while 24.79% were gathering market insights. Additionally, 21.14% aimed to discover new products and trends, and 11.49% placed orders on-site.

A Comprehensive Platform for Innovation


Furniture China 2026 showcased the complete value chain of the furniture industry, from international brands and original design to upholstery fabrics, outdoor furniture, office and commercial furnishings, as well as materials and smart manufacturing processes. More than 1,000 international brands and manufacturers participated in this vital gathering, underscoring the exhibition's prominence in the industry. Meanwhile, Maison Shanghai at SWEECC focused on design, lifestyle, and the future of living, featuring thematic exhibitions and the presence of innovative design brands.

The week was filled with networking services, forums, and award ceremonies, allowing buyers and exhibitors to exchange ideas and establish long-lasting partnerships beyond the exhibition halls.
