On July 24, 2025, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is hosting a free seminar for small businesses aimed at enhancing their e-commerce strategies. Titled 'E-commerce Learning Hub,' this event is designed to help new and existing businesses either start their online sales journey or revitalize their current operations.

The seminar is a great opportunity to gain fundamental knowledge about online retail, product planning, public relations methods, and to learn from successful case studies. Having a series of four seminars throughout the year, this one will focus specifically on utilizing social media and branding effectively.

Details of the Event


The second seminar will be held at Akihabara's Akiba Plaza from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The day will be divided into a seminar session and a personalized consultation session, providing attendees with insights that can transform their business approach in the competitive online retail space.

Seminar Schedule


  • - 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM: How to Deliver Information Effectively in an Era of Information Overload
- Speaker: Keisuke Yoshida, Senior Consultant at Karabina Heart Co., Ltd.
- This session will cover strategies for delivering valuable information to customers while avoiding common advertising pitfalls. Keisuke will share insights from his experience with digital communication.

  • - 11:10 AM - 12:10 PM: How to Capture Attractive Product Photos
- Speaker: Mayu Fuchigami from the Photo Communication Association.
- Mayu will teach techniques for taking compelling product photos using smartphones, emphasizing how to visually communicate your brand's values and intentions.

Free Individual Consultations


In addition to the seminars, participants will be able to take part in a personalized consultation called 'E-commerce Anything Consultation' from 1:10 PM to 5:00 PM. This is a perfect chance for attendees to ask specific questions about their e-commerce plans.

Common inquiries that will be addressed include:
  • - How can I increase sales from my website?
  • - I'm on an online marketplace, but how do I boost my customer base with minimal costs?
  • - I've developed a new product for online sales; how can I find prospective retailers?
  • - I'm looking for ways to enhance my advertising campaigns and PR for my online shop.

The consultations will last about 40 minutes per company and will be conducted by experienced consultants specialized in e-commerce.

To participate in this transformative event, registration must be completed by July 15, 2025. Spaces are limited, with a maximum of 40 attendees for the seminar and 8 companies for consultations. The event is exclusively for small businesses in Tokyo looking to explore e-commerce opportunities.
