STL Partners with Mynet to Deliver Ultra-Fast Connectivity for Data Center in Mountainous Region

STL and Mynet Collaboration: A New Era of Connectivity

In a remarkable partnership spanning over 15 years, STL (Sterlite Technologies Limited) has joined forces with Mynet to roll out cutting-edge fiber optic solutions for a new data center located in the breathtaking mountainous region of Trentino, Italy. This innovative project comes with a hefty investment of €50.2 million, with significant contributions from PNRR, reflecting a robust commitment to enhancing digital infrastructure.

A Challenging Engagement

Mynet, renowned for its expertise in high-performance fiber optic networks in Northern Italy, has taken the lead in implementing fiber optic connectivity at the Intacture data center. The project posed unique challenges due to the complexity of its geography, demanding ultra-fast connectivity solutions that could be deployed within a tight timeframe.

The data center's specific location required a design that ensured exceptional performance, long-term reliability, and resilience without sacrificing speed. This challenge was embraced by both STL and Mynet, ultimately culminating in a state-of-the-art high-capacity connectivity solution specifically tailored for the facility.

Advanced Solutions for Optimal Performance

STL was selected as the technological partner due to its proven expertise in providing advanced connectivity solutions suitable for data centers. The company delivered its cutting-edge fiber optic solutions, including compact high-density fiber cables designed to facilitate faster and more cost-effective installations in 10/12 mm duct systems.

This innovative cable design features robustness that allows for easy blowing over long distances, ensuring quicker final preparations and simplified on-site handling. The solutions have been meticulously engineered to meet stringent requirements for performance, durability, and scalability, facilitating seamless deployment even in harsh conditions.

Record-Breaking Deployment

Remarkably, the entire connectivity infrastructure assigned to MyNet was completed in less than two months, setting a record for projects of this complexity in such demanding locations. This rapid deployment enabled Mynet to activate high-capacity fiber optic connectivity on-site, bringing measurable benefits such as approximately 50% reduction in deployment time, a network lifespan exceeding 15 years, and enhanced network stability during peak loads.

By combining Mynet's local network expertise with STL's advanced fiber solutions, this project creates a resilient and high-performance digital backbone, perfectly suited for the next generation of data center infrastructure.

Stakeholders Comment on the Success

Giovanni Zorzoni, CEO of Mynet, reflected on the challenges faced: "We accepted the challenge of delivering high-performance connectivity to this extraordinary infrastructure in under sixty days. With STL’s advanced fiber solutions, we focused on the design and implementation without compromising reliability or performance. The quality, robustness, and ease of deployment of STL’s fiber optic solutions enabled us to realize the project in record time, even in particularly demanding environments."

Rahul Puri, CEO of STL, elaborated on the partnership’s significance, stating: "This collaboration showcases STL's expertise in providing critical digital infrastructure for data centers. By offering scalable and future-ready solutions such as multi-core low-latency fiber, we are helping our clients build structurally resilient networks prepared for an AI-focused future."
