These eye-catching videos are part of a promotional campaign aimed primarily at young urban women in the Kanto and Kansai regions of Japan. The central theme of these ads is to offer a glimpse into the daily lives of two childhood friends, Kaoru and Haruka, as they unwind from their busy routines with Hakutake KAORU, a premium rice shochu.

A Fresh Take on Shochu Enjoyment


Hakutake KAORU aims to inspire a new appreciation for shochu, especially among younger consumers who may not yet be familiar with this traditional Japanese spirit. The campaign features three captivating short films that highlight the enchanting moments in which Kaoru and Haruka enjoy their time together while savoring the unique aromas of Hakutake KAORU. The inclusion of character-driven narratives makes the ads relatable, helping to connect with the target audience on a personal level.

Instagram Campaign Kickoff


In anticipation of the video release, Takahashi Shuzo has initiated a special Instagram campaign starting October 17. This limited-time promotion invites fans to participate by following the brand’s account and liking the campaign posts for a chance to win luxurious shochu tasting sets, including special starry bottles and highball cans. This campaign will extend until November 30, emphasizing audience engagement and building excitement around Hakutake KAORU.

From late October, viewers can also anticipate the rollout of exclusive recipe videos featuring Kaoru and Haruka as they showcase various ways to enjoy Hakutake KAORU.
