Mindray's Project 2030: A New Era for Women's Health Ultrasound Revealed at ISUOG
Mindray's Project 2030
On September 15, at the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG) 2025 World Congress held in Cancun, Mexico, Mindray, a leading global medical solution provider, announced its groundbreaking Project 2030. This initiative is designed to enhance worldwide access to ultrasound technology, particularly benefiting women’s health.
The launch occurred in the presence of international specialists who gathered to witness Mindray’s commitment to improving ultrasonic imaging in the healthcare industry. The attention was drawn not only by the groundbreaking technology showcased but also by the collaborative spirit presented at the conference. Professor Savino Gil Pugliese, head of the fetal surgery department at the University Hospital of Cordoba, alongside Professor Roberto Albinagorta, ISUOG ambassador for Latin America, led a dynamic demonstration session. They showcased Mindray’s cutting-edge Nuewa R9 Platinum ultrasound machine, exploring first-trimester fetal hearts and complex gynecological masses. The audience responded enthusiastically to the high-quality 4D imaging that featured advanced color resolution and intelligent quantification.
Professor Albinagorta characterized this technology as establishing a 'new grammar for ultrasound storytelling', emphasizing its potential for impactful visualization in clinical practice.
As a long-standing platform for academic exchanges in obstetric ultrasound, ISUOG has consistently worked towards the advancement of medical imaging on a global scale. In harmony with ISUOG’s mission, Mindray is taking strides in collaboration with top experts to fortify medical ultrasound practices and better health service accessibility. Professor Liona Poon, the newly elected president of ISUOG, underscored the importance of a shared vision between academia and industry. She explained how academic institutions provide scientific rigor while industry partners enable tools and scalability for practical innovation.
A Groundbreaking Initiative
In launching Project 2030, Mindray aims to build upon its earlier Project 2025, which has already established itself as a significant undertaking in the ultrasound field by collaborating with experts and academics. This earlier initiative has successfully set up 68 ultrasound schools worldwide, catered to over 10,000 physicians, organized more than 2,000 academic exchange events, and published over 100 scholarly articles.
Gene Liang, General Manager of Medical Imaging at Mindray, highlighted that the ongoing commitment is directed at expanding fundamental ultrasound education and creating platforms for academic exchanges that encourage global communication.
