Kate Spade New York is excited to announce the third edition of its unique community event, Friendship Base, which is set to take place from February 28, 2026. This event will be hosted on the third floor of the Ginza flagship store, and will serve as a vibrant gathering space where guests can celebrate connections and positivity. The event coincides with Women's History Month, highlighting the importance of joy, female empowerment, and mental well-being.

From February 25, 2026, further events will be held at several pop-up shops across Japan, including locations such as Hankyu Umeda Main Store, Shibuya Scramble Square, JR Nagoya Takashimaya, and Shinjuku Takashimaya. Each of these sites will incorporate special activities from the Friendship Base event, making it accessible to even more guests.

What is the Friendship Base?

The Friendship Base at Kate Spade is designed to be a welcoming space that invites everyone to partake in experiences that reflect the brand’s core values: connection and positivity in everyday life. Each visitor will have the chance to engage with moss flowers — an inspiring and unique aspect of this year’s event. These small, handmade decorations serve as prompts to appreciate the little moments of positivity that can be found daily.

For over a decade, Kate Spade has prioritized women's mental well-being through various initiatives, promoting the themes of joy, empowerment, and the importance of mental health. The act of choosing flowers for oneself, friends, or family is envisioned to help individuals cherish their own current state and celebrate life’s little joys.

Participation Requirements

Visitors can join the event by scanning a QR code on-site to register with the official LINE account. This is open to participants aged 13 and above.

Exclusive Gifts and Offers

During the event, those who register via QR code will receive a complimentary yellow mini moss flower, celebrating Women’s History Month. Supplies are limited!
Additionally, anyone who makes a purchase of 33,000 JPY (tax included) or more will receive a customizable bouquet of moss flowers. Each attendee may enjoy this offer up to three times, while supplies last.
