This national competition, organized by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare alongside various vocational skill associations, brought together the most skilled craftsmen across 30 different trades.
A Showdown of Skill
The competition saw four carpenters from Heisei Construction, representing Shizuoka and Kanagawa Prefectures, battling against 34 elite participants from throughout Japan in the carpentry category. Among these skilled individuals, Munihiro Harada, representing Shizuoka, emerged triumphant by winning the Gold Medal and the Minister’s Prize. This remarkable victory not only represents his personal achievement but also boosts the reputation of Heisei Construction and the skills of its craftsmen.
In addition to Harada's notable win, another Heisei carpenter, Yuiki Watanabe, representing Kanagawa, secured a Bronze Medal, while Tomoki Kabasawa also from Kanagawa received the Encouragement Award.
