Miri Technologies Launches Innovative Internet Solutions at NAB Show New York
Miri Technologies, a pioneering startup in internet connectivity, is poised to make a significant impact at the NAB Show New York this week, showcasing their latest innovations. The company's focus this year is on the introduction of their powerful new software platform,
miriOS, which promises to transform the landscape of reliable internet connections.
Exhibiting at booth 142 in the Javits Center from October 22 to 23, Miri Technologies will demonstrate their
miriOS alongside updates to the celebrated
X510 dual-cellular bonding router. These advancements underscore the company's commitment to enhancing internet resilience wherever it is required.
What is miriOS?
miriOS is built on the robust
OpenWrt framework and incorporates integrating
Speedify technology, providing a reliable foundation for internet connectivity across Miri’s dedicated hardware as well as selected third-party routers. This new platform not only introduces exciting features for the X510 but also extends Miri's connectivity solutions to third-party devices for the first time, starting with the highly regarded
GL.iNet Beryl AX (GL-MT3000) travel router.
The union of
miriOS with the Beryl AX is ideal for users who need dependable internet on the go yet do not require the comprehensive capabilities of the Miri X510. Users can utilize
miriOS to bond connections, load balance, or seamlessly switch between Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and USB-tethered connections—as a practical solution for travelers or business professionals who rely on stable online access.
Statements from Leadership
Ryan Brenneman, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Miri Technologies, highlighted the versatility of the
X510 as a bonding solution for critical professional applications. He noted, “We recognize that many consumers and small businesses seek resilient internet options without the extensive hardware needs of the Miri X510.
miriOS on the GL.iNet Beryl AX router provides an economical way to access our unique fault-tolerant reliability.”
Miri Technologies is commencing beta testing for
miriOS, with a full launch planned for early next year. Users interested in becoming beta testers can apply for the program on the Miri website, noting that a
Speedify router license is necessary. New beta testers will receive a complimentary 90-day license, post which they will need to subscribe to a Speedify plan. Miri X510 users can continue to use their existing Speedify subscription during this beta phase.
New Features of the X510
Exciting updates for the Miri X510 router will also be available through a firmware update preceding the
miriOS launch. The Miri X510 router is capable of bonding up to seven direct connections, inclusive of its integrated 5G and 4G modems, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and can even connect data from up to 20 mobile devices using the Speedify’s
Pair Share function.
Among the key features in
miriOS and the new X510 firmware is the introduction of a user-selectable
Load Balancing mode, providing an alternative to the existing
Bonding mode. This Load Balancing option utilizes multiple internet connections to enhance bandwidth and provides instant failover capabilities in case of a connection failure—without routing traffic through a bonding server.
Moreover, the
Performance-Enhancing Proxy (PEP) technology from Speedify is aimed at addressing data transport speeds across various connections, capitalizing on overcoming standard TCP protocol limitations to uplift throughput. Additionally, new tools to manage live streaming and broadcast contributions—especially beneficial under fluctuating network conditions—were included. These advancements will greatly enhance streaming services that depend on traditional protocols like RTMP, which lack robustness compared to newer alternatives.
Conclusion
Miri Technologies continues to innovate, aiming to empower users with the tools for resilient internet access across diverse applications. From live streaming to essential business operations, their solutions promise unparalleled connectivity and reliability. As
