Successful Conclusion of the 7th China International Import Expo



The 7th annual China International Import Expo (CIIE) has been wrapped up successfully on November 10 in Shanghai. This year's event was not only marked by various intangible achievements and connections but also demonstrated an impressive global participation and numerous business opportunities.

According to preliminary evaluations, the total preliminary transactions reached approximately $80.01 billion, reflecting a 2% increase compared to the previous year. This demonstrates the growing interest and involvement from exhibitors and buyers worldwide.

A Diverse International Presence



The CIIE stands as a crucial platform for fostering global cooperation. This year’s expo attracted participants from 77 countries and numerous international organizations across five continents. Exhibitors showcased their unique cultures, national identities, and cutting-edge technologies through their booths. Over 200 engaging events took place, further enhancing the expo's interactive atmosphere.

The Enterprise Business Exhibition featured 3,496 companies from 129 nations and regions, including 132 exhibitors from 35 of the least developed countries. Additionally, 1,585 companies from 104 countries engaged in the Belt and Road Initiative, while another 1,106 companies from 13 countries participated in the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership.

Innovations at the Forefront



Innovation is always at the heart of CIIE. In the special section for Innovation Incubation, 360 innovative projects from 34 nations were showcased, aiming to propel the growth of small and medium enterprises. Major corporations also revealed 450 new products, services, and technologies, including over 100 global debuts, 40 Asian debuts, and more than 200 Chinese debuts. These unveilings are set to catalyze new consumer demand dynamics in the marketplace.

The Hongqiao International Economic Forum



A focal point of the event was the Hongqiao International Economic Forum (HQF), serving as an essential platform for global dialogue and economic discussions. This year's forum attracted more than 8,600 registered visitors and featured over 300 internationally recognized experts and leaders in politics, business, and academia. At this year’s aspect, the World Openness Report 2024 and the World Openness Index were unveiled, actively promoting openness and international collaboration.
