This innovative platform includes a versatile Exo-Belt, interchangeable joint modules, and an open software infrastructure that promises to expand over time.
A New Era of Mobility
The Ascentiz-H module is engineered specifically to enhance hip movements for walking, climbing, running, and rapid maneuvers. Meanwhile, the Ascentiz-K model features Adaptive Knee Augmentation, combining dynamic knee support with continuous active assistance and load management on varying terrains, including stairs and inclines. These modules utilize Adaptive Motion Intelligence, allowing the exoskeleton to recognize changing movement conditions and adjust support in real-time according to the user-selected mode.
Emphasizing Modularity
In a market where consumer exoskeletons are evolving towards multi-joint assistance, Ascentiz faced a pivotal choice: to integrate all functionalities into a single fixed device or to develop a flexible platform that adapts to various movement requirements. This modular setup allows for quick hand swapping of components within seconds using a MOLLE quick-release structure. The H module propels the user forward and upward, while the K module offers adaptive knee support, stabilization, and controlled braking under varying loads.
Innovative Operating System: BodyOS
Running behind the scenes is BodyOS, Ascentiz's proprietary software framework that serves as the foundation for its modular wearable robotics. Coupled with AZ-Lock for mechanical interfaces and CAN-FD for electrical and communication protocols, BodyOS provides a unified framework that supports the H, K, and future modules on the same platform. Released as an open-source project in 2026, BodyOS is designed for continual evolution via software updates and new contributions from the research and development community.
