Explore the Hidden Islands of Ota: An Exclusive Bus Tour in Tokyo

Discover the Hidden Treasures of Ota's Islands

Last year, we held a highly successful tour exploring the seven artificial islands in Ota, Tokyo, which received overwhelming interest with an application-to-participation ratio exceeding 20:1. This year, we are excited to offer the same incredible journey on September 19, with a rented bus from Keikyu, taking you to unique spots that are not easily accessible via public transport.

Tour Highlights

This tour will visit iconic locations, including the secretive Reiwa Island, Ota Clean Center, and the Tokyo Monorail Maintenance Center. Participants will have the chance to explore the remarkable Ota Industrial area and its most interesting features all in one day. Traveling by private bus offers convenience and an unparalleled experience compared to standard public transit.

Key Locations Include:
  • - Reiwa Island: A newly designated area as of 2020, it boasts a unique name that is the first of its kind in Japan. Connected to Jonan Island by an underwater tunnel, it features the key container port in Tokyo with the highest throughput.
  • - Kehin Island: Home to the Ota Clean Center where visitors can witness the impressive waste-to-energy technology.
  • - Showa Island: Here, the Tokyo Monorail Maintenance Base offers an inside look at vehicle inspections, showcasing the infrastructure behind Tokyo's efficient transit system.

Schedule

  • - Date: September 19, 9:45 AM to 5:30 PM (Tentative)
  • - Starting Point: Omori Station
  • - Route Include: Ota Market → Jonan Island (Art Factory) → Reiwa Island (Scenic Views) → Heiwajima (Ota Seaweed Heritage Museum) → Kehin Island (Ota Clean Center) → Showa Island (Tokyo Monorail Base) → Haneda Airport (Innovation City PiO PARK). The tour disbands at Tenku Bridge Station.

Why This Tour Is Unique

Aside from exploring hidden gems in Ota City, one of the main attractions is the experience of traveling on a private bus along a designated route that typically wouldn’t be possible with standard public transport. By letting participants view places like the Ota Clean Center or the Tokyo Monorail Maintenance Base directly, we provide a richer understanding of the city’s industrial heritage and innovation.

Conclusion

Don't miss this limited opportunity to engage with the fascinating allure of Ota's artificial islands. With an exciting itinerary packed with educational experiences and scenic views, this tour offers a perfect blend of adventure and learning.
