The Men's Ice Hockey Team of Okayama University has made headlines by winning the Spring Tournament for the third consecutive year. The tournament hosted eight participating universities, including Ehime University, Kagawa University, Shimane University, Tottori University, Hiroshima Institute of Technology, Hiroshima Shudo University, and Yamaguchi University.

During the preliminary matches in Kagawa, the teams were divided into two groups, with the top two from each group advancing to the Okayama round. The standout teams, namely Ehime, Shimane, Yamaguchi, and Okayama University, fought valiantly for the title, eventually leading to Okayama University's ultimate victory.

Yuta Okuzumi, a second-year engineering student and captain of the team, expressed his thoughts on the successful campaign. "This Spring Tournament was about avenging our performance in the fall championship where we couldn't secure a single victory. We aimed to win while addressing our key issue of lacking shot attempts. As a newly formed team, winning this tournament was crucial to kick-start our season. Achieving revenge against the team that defeated us in the fall adds immense value to our victory. Moving forward, we are focused on improving our finishing ability for the upcoming fall championship in November, and we want to carry this momentum and enjoy playing ice hockey together!" he stated with enthusiasm.

In light of the new season, Kazuki Kamada, a third-year student, urged new recruits to join the team. "We invite anyone interested in experiencing the extraordinary world of ice hockey to join us! Bring your friends or come alone, we are waiting for everyone to participate!"
