Dad Takes a New Journey in Business: BAILOR's Coach Academy Emerges

A New Venture for Bob Bailor in BAILOR's Coach Academy

Years ago, Bob Bailor encouraged his daughter, Sonya, with a life-changing challenge. In the quiet hours of the morning, he urged her to pursue a path beyond corporate stability and helped ignite her entrepreneurial spirit. After enduring a profound personal journey, including her son's struggle with brain cancer, Sonya contemplated returning to the secure corporate world. Yet, her father's unwavering belief in her potential led to the establishment of BAILOR, a company dedicated to helping other businesses thrive.

Fast forward to today, the roles have gracefully reversed as Sonya now calls upon her father to join the BAILOR Certified™ Coach Academy. The Academy is designed for those eager to learn and apply the BAILOR Method™, a structured approach to business growth that intertwines personal development with professional success. Bob and his wife, Linda, have become vital members, ready to guide emerging entrepreneurs through their journeys.

A Legacy of Business Acumen

Bob Bailor's entrepreneurial experience began at the young age of nine when he initiated a lawn-care business. Over the years, he successfully built and scaled Bailor Trucking, a heavy-equipment transportation company, instilling in Sonya invaluable lessons on leadership and business management as they traveled together in his truck. This wealth of experience provides a strong foundation for the Academy participants, who first experience the BAILOR Method as clients before transitioning to coaches.

Within the Academy, participants not only learn the BAILOR Method but are also encouraged to integrate their personal leadership styles with proven frameworks, making the methodology uniquely theirs. Over a nine-month intensive program known as the Build to Scale™, certified coaches help budding entrepreneurs enhance operational efficiency, seek growth opportunities, and nurture their leadership abilities.

Bob reflects on his new role, stating, “While I’ve gained significant insights throughout my career, there’s always more to learn. I’m excited to share my knowledge and hopefully help others sidestep the mistakes I made along the way. To be doing it alongside my daughter adds a profound layer of meaning.”

Building a Community of Coaches

Known affectionately as “Daddy and Momma Bailor” by their fellow coaches-in-training, Bob and Linda are part of a lively cohort that began in August 2026. This group consists of six dedicated individuals honing their coaching skills, including Ray and Shavavian Allister, Tami Kent, and Tammy Brannen, each bringing a variety of strengths in leadership, operations, and finance.

The Academy’s inaugural class graduated on May 1, 2026, including impressive individuals such as Melissa Chavez and Sonia Robinson, furthering BAILOR’s mission to cultivate a nationwide network of impactful coaches.

Sonya remarks, “Deep down, I know my purpose extends beyond what I currently achieve. I believe my dad shares that sentiment. There’s a wealth of experience and wisdom in others waiting to be tapped into, and that’s who we’re building this Academy for.”

What began as a father's encouragement has blossomed into an institution focused on empowering others to magnify their influence in the business world. With Bob now officially part of this mission, the phrase “Dad, it’s your turn” has never held more significance as they both embark on this exciting journey together within the BAILOR family.
