CJ Logistics and iHerb Celebrate Ten Years of Strategic Partnership in Global E-Commerce

A Decade of Partnership: CJ Logistics and iHerb

CJ Logistics and iHerb recently marked the remarkable milestone of ten years of strategic collaboration, a journey that has reshaped the global e-commerce landscape. The commemorative ceremony, held at iHerb’s headquarters in Irvine, California, celebrated a partnership that has fostered innovation across retail and logistics sectors. With a vision to enhance consumer satisfaction through efficient supply chain management, both companies have worked tirelessly to create a robust and seamless retail experience.

Since the inception of their partnership, both companies have witnessed considerable growth. CJ Logistics recorded an impressive increase in its annual handling volume for iHerb, escalating from a mere 1.1 million boxes during the early stages to a staggering 10.4 million boxes in 2025. Cumulatively, they have processed around 60 million boxes, which, if laid out side by side, would stretch approximately 30,000 kilometers—enough to encircle the globe!

The partnership’s success story unfolds against the backdrop of expanding operational territories, beginning in the Korean market and progressively encompassing the Asia-Pacific and Middle Eastern regions. CJ Logistics’ CEO for the Global Business Division, Jonathan Song, and iHerb’s CEO, Emun Zabihi, exchanged plaques of appreciation during the anniversary event, solidifying their commitment to future collaboration aimed at fortifying the global e-commerce supply chain.

Emun Zabihi emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating, “iHerb aims to provide high-quality products that global consumers can trust more quickly and reliably. Our collaboration with CJ Logistics is a fundamental pillar that upholds our competitive edge in global services.”

Founded in 1996, iHerb began its journey as a small online retailer and has since blossomed into one of the largest wellness e-commerce platforms, serving over 15 million customers in more than 180 countries. CJ Logistics, on the other hand, provides comprehensive solutions for iHerb, from forwarding to warehousing, order fulfillment, and last-mile delivery.

As part of its strategy to facilitate iHerb’s Asia-Pacific expansion, CJ Logistics established Korea’s first Global Distribution Center (GDC) in Incheon back in 2018. This significant move allowed orders from various countries, including Japan, Singapore, and Australia, to be processed from Korea rather than the U.S., thereby drastically reducing delivery times and logistics expenses.

Building on the success of the Incheon GDC, CJ Logistics and iHerb extended their competencies into the Middle East. In 2025, a new Saudi GDC became operational, equipped with advanced robotics technology tailored for iHerb’s fulfillment services, promising to enhance efficiency across the region.

In light of growing regional demand, both companies are gearing up to expand their product categories and logistics infrastructure, emphasizing their commitment to mutual growth. The partnership vividly illustrates a model of collaboration that brings forth benefits for both retail and logistics sectors. iHerb’s global expansion has concurrently boosted logistics volumes and infrastructure enhancements at CJ Logistics, leading to increased customer satisfaction and reinforcing iHerb’s retail competitiveness in the marketplace.

Jonathan Song highlighted the importance of this enduring partnership, stating, “Through our collaboration with iHerb, we have not only explored new markets and increased volumes but also deepened consumer satisfaction. By leveraging cutting-edge logistics technologies and operational expertise, we aim to further enhance our supply chain capabilities and solidify our role as a key partner in the global e-commerce sector.”

As CJ Logistics and iHerb look towards the future, they stand poised to elevate their partnership, continuing to drive significant growth in the e-commerce realm and beyond, while consistently prioritizing customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Together, they are not just enhancing logistics, but they are redefining how global e-commerce operates, one box at a time.
