A New Business Support Solution: AP Service
Starting September 2026, the Japan Subsidy Officer Association, headquartered in Osaka City, will roll out a monthly subscription service named
AP Service (Advance Partner Service). This innovative service is tailored for small businesses and solo entrepreneurs, aimed at providing them with continuous guidance in navigating the complex subsidy and grant systems available in Japan.
As governmental and local initiatives have introduced a plethora of subsidy options for various activities such as equipment investment, market expansion, and hiring, many businesses struggle to utilize these resources effectively. The Japan Subsidy Officer Association has noted that over 20,000 subsidy-related systems exist across the country, with many companies failing to leverage these opportunities due to confusion over qualifying programs, missed application deadlines, and lack of time for research. The objective of AP Service is to transition the situation from merely searching for subsidies to receiving tailored, ongoing recommendations.
Tackling the Barrier to Accessing Subsidies
In response to the aforementioned challenges, the Japan Subsidy Officer Association developed AP Service as a proactive solution. The service promises dedicated support from assigned representatives who will work closely with businesses, considering their specific operations and future plans to consistently recommend relevant grants and subsidies. This assistance goes beyond mere introductions to programs; it encompasses monthly information updates, online consultations, and direct application support, paving the way for businesses to utilize incentives precisely when they need them most.
The importance of creating an environment where business owners can concentrate on their core operations cannot be overstated. Unlike traditional one-time support services that focus solely on grant applications, AP Service offers ongoing engagement as a trusted external partner. Expert staff will handle all aspects of information gathering and application preparation, allowing entrepreneurs to direct their time towards crucial decisions regarding sales, recruitment, and capital investments. The Japan Subsidy Officer Association envisions fostering an environment where subsidies are viewed not as special programs but as vital business resources fueling growth.
Vision Behind AP Service
Mr. Ryo Kuroe, the CEO of the Japan Subsidy Officer Association, shared his insights on the need for such a service, mentioning that many business leaders express concerns about subsidies but lack the time to explore options.
