ECOVACS 2024 Sustainability Report: A Commitment to a Greener Future

In its recently released 2024 Sustainability Report, ECOVACS (603486.SH), a global leader in service robotics, outlines its efforts in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives. With a focus on sustainability at the core of its brand value, the company strives to lead in eco-friendly practices while ensuring robust data protection for its users.

Pioneering Sustainable Robotics

As a trailblazer in household service robotics and smart home devices, ECOVACS emphasizes the significance of sustainability through its PROGRESS strategy. This vision aims to create a more responsible, inclusive, and sustainable world by fulfilling its ecological and social responsibilities while establishing its brands, ECOVACS ROBOTICS and TINECO, as trustworthy everyday partners for consumers.

The report highlights the company's achievements in energy efficiency, recycling, carbon footprint reduction, and data security. Furthermore, it outlines future strategic objectives and how the PROGRESS strategy will drive ongoing sustainability efforts.

According to Qian Dongqi, Chairman of ECOVACS, the company is dedicated to providing consumers worldwide with energy-efficient, dependable, and powerful products. By prioritizing high-quality development, ECOVACS plans to enhance its competitiveness while guiding industry partners and consumers toward environmentally friendly practices that contribute positively to global sustainable development.

Carbon Reduction and Circular Economy Practices

ECOVACS has set ambitious goals to peak carbon emissions by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060. Specific targets for sustainability by 2030 include a 20% reduction in energy intensity, a 10% reduction in water intensity, and a 30% cut in packaging material consumption compared to 2020. To achieve these goals, ECOVACS incorporates eco-friendly production practices across its operations, systematically reducing resource consumption and waste through process optimization and energy management.

In 2024, ECOVACS utilized 6,031.35 MWh of clean energy, including 2,530.71 MWh generated on-site via photovoltaic systems at its phases IV and V factories and an additional 3,500.64 MWh sourced from its subsidiary Taiding New Energy. New eco-friendly facilities under construction promise to further increase the use of renewable energy.

The company's commitment to the circular economy is also evident through its trade-in program, which promotes reuse and sustainability. In 2024, ECOVACS collected 29,000 old devices as part of this program, backed by an investment of $3.13 million. Furthermore, they reclaimed 5,434.05 tons of recyclable materials, notably old computers and parts, valued at $4.07 million.

Integrating sustainability into product innovation is another key area for ECOVACS. The latest model, the DEEBOT X11 OmniCyclone, features the PureCyclone 2.0 Auto-Empty technology, which is directly integrated into the OMNI Station—a first in the industry. This
