A New Era for Haircare: Cécred at Ulta Beauty
On April 6th, 2025, Cécred officially announced its partnership with Ulta Beauty, introducing a transformative lineup of haircare products to more than 1,400 retail locations across the United States. Founded by the award-winning artist Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, Cécred represents a significant evolution in how haircare is perceived and experienced. This launch marks the largest exclusive haircare introduction in Ulta Beauty's storied history.
Cécred’s Foundation Collection, designed for all hair types and textures, is now available for purchase at Ulta stores and online. The collection includes popular items such as the
Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner, the
Fermented Rice Rose Protein Ritual, and the in-demand
Restoring Hair Edge Drops, which has sold out three times since its debut.
The collaboration between Cécred and Ulta Beauty is poised to redefine the consumer experience in beauty retail through innovative merchandising and salon services. Stores will feature custom displays ranging from impressive promotional setups on gondolas to standout banners visible from outside, all ensuring that shoppers can easily engage with the brand.
Grace Ray, CEO of Cécred, expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "Expanding into retail just one year after the launch of Cécred is a powerful testament to the efficacy of our products and the deep connection we've built with our community." She emphasized that the collaboration would allow consumers to access Cécred products directly amidst trusted hairstylists, reinforcing the brand's mission of empowering individuals to embrace their unique beauty.
Kecia Steelman, CEO of Ulta Beauty, shared her excitement about the integration, highlighting the importance of inclusivity in the offerings at Ulta. "Launching Cécred exclusively at Ulta Beauty is an exciting milestone for both of us and a reflection of our commitment to partner with brands that work for everyone," stated Steelman. The partnership aims to enhance the beauty shopping experience for customers, showcasing a diverse brand portfolio combined with unrivaled customer service.
In a pioneering move, all Ulta Beauty Salon locations will feature a dedicated salon presence for Cécred. This includes a unique menu of services designed to demonstrate the brand's transformative potential. Ulta's 7,000 professional stylists will receive extensive training on Cécred’s formulations to provide firsthand insights and results to clients.
The services include the
Cécred Scalp Revival, focusing on nourishing and exfoliating the scalp; the
Cécred Protein Bounceback Treatment, which employs the Fermented Rice Rose Protein Ritual to enhance hair resilience; and the
Cécred Hydration Repair Treatment, aimed at reversing damage from color and heat treatments. Each service will encourage a holistic approach to hair health endorsed by professionals.
Furthermore, starting from May 18, Cécred and Ulta Beauty will host
Cécred Sundays—an exclusive weekly salon event at selected Ulta locations that will promote self-care rituals through special treatments and experiences tailored for various hair types. Patrons attending these events will receive complimentary gifts, like the
Temple Oud candle, further enhancing the experience.
Beyoncé's ethos of connection through hair care is embodied in this collaboration, as stated by Cécred’s Vice Chairwoman, Tina Knowles. Drawing from her background as a salon owner, she aims to replicate the personalized care of salons throughout the retail aisles, allowing more customers to engage with and discover the brand.
Now available in Ulta Beauty stores and on Ulta.com, Cécred’s product range is priced between $16 and $56, making high-quality haircare accessible to a wider audience. With a focus on combining advanced science with time-honored practices, Cécred aims to be a leader in the movement toward healthier hair for everyone.
