Streaming Capabilities
During the rodeo, RMX showcased the ground-breaking capabilities of VAST™, which successfully transmitted five simultaneous HD video streams acquired from drones and ground cameras. This was managed over a single L-band Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) with a data rate of approximately 350–500 kbps per stream. Notably, the platform enabled long-distance relay of live drone feeds to the operations center via a 1.25 MHz, multi-hop, beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) TrellisWare MANET. This functionality is critical in scenarios such as search-and-rescue (SAR), where reliable and timely video information is needed to coordinate operations effectively.

Moreover, it integrates seamlessly with TAK, including AV1 RTP playback in the latest version (v5.5), allowing for versatile streaming options via UDP multicast or RTSP across various tactical communication bands such as HF, SINCGARS, MUOS, UHF TACSAT, LTAC, and others.
