Set in the peaceful environment of Gotenyama, the hotel's Lounge & Dining G invites you to enjoy the beauty of nature while indulging in a delightful selection of seasonal treats.

Summer may have faded, but autumn brings with it a bounty that is no less spectacular. The star of this year's afternoon tea is the delectable grapes sourced directly from the Komoda Fruit Orchard in Nagano Prefecture. Cultivated through a nurturing natural recycling method without the use of chemical fertilizers or herbicides, these grapes showcase the true flavors of nature.

The Grapes of Autumn


The lineup features the Shine Muscat, known as the “green sweet gem”, alongside the luxurious Nagano Purple black grapes that boast rich sweetness with minimal astringency. Additionally, guests can enjoy the splendid new variety, Queen Rouge — a stunning red grape that radiates sweetness. The tea service includes eight unique sweets and four savory dishes that highlight the juicy goodness of these autumnal gems.

Decadent Sweets

1. Layered Parfait with Shine Muscat: A visually stunning parfait that showcases the clarity of Shine Muscat through layers of muscat sauce, chantilly cream, and lemon and muscat gelees. Topped with large Shine Muscat grapes, this dessert is a feast for the eyes and the palate.
2. Grape Shortcake from Komoda Orchard: This classic favorite features a beautifully crafted round shape that displays the seasonal grapes' cross-section, making it a delight to savor.
3. Panna Cotta with Shine Muscat and Elderflower Gelée: A creamy panna cotta layered with elderflower gelée offers a unique balance of richness and freshness.
4. Kyoho Bonbon Chocolat: A rich chocolate bonbon filled with luscious Kyoho grape juice and domestic rose confiture, perfect for chocolate lovers.
5. Mousse of Kyoho and Fromage Blanc: This round and adorable treat encases a sweet compote of Kyoho grapes within its creamy mousse.
6. Grape Tart with Shine Muscat and Seasonal Grapes: A tart that emphasizes the direct flavors of both grape varieties, complemented perfectly with custard cream infused with grape flavor.
7. Sablé Sandwich with Verbena and Pistachio: This unique item combines the fragrant taste of verbena with rich pistachio cream in a delightful sandwich.

The Afternoon Tea -Autumn Grape Elegance- is served daily between 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM in the hotel’s Lounge & Dining G. Priced at ¥7,500 per person, it includes a delightful selection of teas, herbal teas, or coffee from an array of options, all freely refillable.

About Komoda Fruit Orchard


Located in the sunny region of Nagano’s Togakushi area, the Komoda Fruit Orchard is dedicated to growing high-quality grapes in green, black, and red varieties. By employing a natural recycling cultivation method, they maximize the grapes' flavor and nutritional content while minimizing environmental impact. Mr. Komoda, the representative, transitioned from an IT engineer to realize his passion for grapes inspired by their incredible taste during his encounter in Togakushi. Now, he actively explores the potential of the Togakushi brand, engaging in both fresh grapes and processed products.
