National Gun Violence Prevention Expo

Omerge Alliances is proud to lead the production of the first-ever National Gun Violence Prevention Expo, held from September 24 to 26, 2026, at the Hilton Chicago. This significant event is presented by Strides for Peace and will showcase innovative solutions to the urgent issue of gun violence that affects communities across the nation.

Theme: Prosperity Through Collaboration

The Expo, themed 'Prosperity Through Collaboration,' will last for two days and include a pre-Event Gala. It aims to unite a broad coalition of experts and community leaders, including violence intervention specialists, public safety officials, healthcare professionals, faith leaders, business figures, and community organizers. The goal is to evaluate current strategies and explore new ways to prevent gun violence, enhance trauma care, and foster community healing.

Omerge Alliances’ CEO, Olivia F. Scott, states, "We believe thoughtfully conceived and expertly produced gatherings have the power to transform lives. Through this Expo, we are bringing together powerful changemakers with intention to exchange ideas, relationships, and actions to explore solutions that improve societal well-being."

Notable Participants

The Expo will also feature prominent personalities such as former Chicago Bears players Matt Forté and Chris Draft, Olympian Tori Franklin, Academy Award-winning filmmakers Lisa Cortés and Joshua Seftel, and many others. Experts in the field of gun violence prevention from cities like Chicago, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and New York will converge to collaborate and share their insights.

A Fully Engaging Experience

Attendees will not only partake in discussions and workshops, but they will also have the opportunity to participate in an Arts Expo and a National Day of Remembrance of Homicide Victims Ceremony. Furthermore, the event will debut the Chicago feature film, Nothing To See Here Watts, at Venue SIX10, accompanied by a Film Festival chaired by Rubye Lane, the founder of Mustard Seed Vision.
