Arctech Opens New European Headquarters in Madrid to Drive Expansion
Arctech Inaugurates New European Headquarters in Madrid
On November 18, 2024, Arctech, a leading global provider of solar tracking systems and mounting solutions, celebrated the official opening of its new European headquarters in Madrid, Spain. This significant event was attended by key stakeholders including Chairman Cai Hao and General Manager for the EU market Pedro Magalhaes, along with other notable guests, marking a pivotal moment in the company’s strategy to deepen its presence in the European market.
The move to Madrid is not just a logistical change but a clear signal of Arctech's commitment to integrate more robustly into the European energy landscape. The decision also reflects the rapidly growing demand for solar energy solutions in Europe. Spain, strategically located in the southwest of the continent, boasts abundant solar resources, and in 2023 alone, the country saw the installation of 5.59 GW of new photovoltaic capacity, bringing the total to 25.54 GW—a remarkable growth of 28% from the previous year. Similar trends have been observed in other European nations like Italy, Greece, and Romania where government incentives have spurred the development of photovoltaic projects.
Arctech has recognized the vast potential of the market and, as part of its expansion, established a service center, a regional headquarters, and a research and development center in Spain in 2023. This comprehensive service system covers the entire lifecycle of solar projects, providing offerings such as solution design, service support, delivery assurance, and operations and maintenance assistance (OM-support).
In his opening remarks, Cai Hao articulated the company’s strategic outlook, stating, "Arctech has always pursued a globalized strategy, integrating into the global community with an open and inclusive approach. The relocation of our European headquarters represents a vital strategic move to develop differentiated product and service capabilities that cater to our European customers. With an even more open attitude, we aim to integrate into Spanish and European society as well as the industrial ecosystem, creating more growth opportunities, job prospects for the community, and assuming greater social responsibility."
The company has made significant strides in localization strategies this year, including the establishment of manufacturing facilities in Saudi Arabia and Brazil as well as setting up an R&D center in the Middle East. Currently, Arctech operates three regional offshore centers, four service centers, 17 branches, and six production sites worldwide, enabling international growth through a blend of global and local service networks.
This latest move not only enhances Arctech's operational capacity in Europe but also strengthens its ability to cater to the unique needs of the market. By empowering local teams dedicated to customer support, project assistance, and supply logistics, Arctech aims to provide tailor-made solutions and lifecycle services that meet the European market's increasing demands.
With this expansion, Arctech is poised to play a substantial role in the evolution of Europe’s energy sector, contributing significantly to renewable energy initiatives and sustainable development.
