Founded in May 2024 and headquartered in Kanazawa, Ishikawa, the company, under the leadership of CEO Eric Wei (魏嘉宏), is partnering with Kanazawa University to conduct this significant experiment.

Background and Purpose of the Pilot

The core mission of Moveez is to create a society where everyone can move freely, eliminating transportation disparities. Since 2015, Moveez has been proactive in public road testing, clocking over 40,000 kilometers with approximately 2,000 passengers, all while accumulating numerous patents in the field.

This pilot project is part of a collaborative initiative under the Economy, Trade and Industry Ministry's fiscal year 2023 program aimed at supporting automated driving technology (Levels 3 and 4). Moveez’s involvement entails collaborating with Kanazawa University—selected and authorized by the ministry—to test their robotaxi operations in the distinct Tokyo waterfront area. Specifically, Moveez will focus on generating automated driving maps and operating the robotaxis throughout this project.
