The Launch of the Miral Impact Fund: An Initiative for a Sustainable Future

In a significant step towards enhancing social and environmental responsibilities in Abu Dhabi, Miral, the leading developer of immersive destinations and experiences, has joined forces with the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an to introduce the Miral Impact Fund. This initiative highlights Miral's commitment to achieving measurable social and environmental impacts across the region, in harmony with Abu Dhabi's vision for sustainable development.

A Ceremony to Mark the Occasion

On December 19, 2025, a ceremonial signing took place in the presence of notable figures including Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Community Development, and Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Miral's Chairman. The agreement, signed by Abdullah Al Ameri, Director-General of Ma’an, and Dr. Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, CEO of Miral, reflects a collaborative mission to spearhead responsible growth and community development.

Key Focus Areas of the Fund

The Miral Impact Fund is designed to serve as a catalyst for sustainable growth, focusing on four primary pillars:
1. Conservation - Protecting natural ecosystems and promoting sustainable practices.
2. Arts and Culture - Supporting local talents and preserving cultural heritage.
3. Health and Well-Being - Promoting community health through preventative measures and mental well-being awareness.
4. Education and Skills Development - Fostering talent and skills essential for a knowledge-based economy.

Each area will implement targeted programs aimed at generating significant community benefits.

Setting New Milestones in Corporate Responsibility

The establishment of the Miral Impact Fund marks an evolutionary step in Miral's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy. Dr. Al Zaabi emphasized the momentous significance of this fund, stating that it embodies the company’s efforts to create a positive legacy through impactful initiatives. He noted, “In alignment with Abu Dhabi's Vision 2030, this partnership channels contributions toward tangible social and environmental change.”

The inaugural initiative under this fund, titled Guardians of the Arabian Gulf, will be administered by the Yas SeaWorld Research and Rescue Center in Abu Dhabi. This program aims to conserve marine ecosystems and endangered species while also developing future leaders in conservation, reflecting a proactive approach to environmental stewardship.

Collaboration and Sustainable Development

The fund operates under the governance of a joint steering committee, which includes representatives from both Miral and Ma’an. This structure ensures transparency and effective utilization of contributions. Stakeholders and community members are encouraged to participate in shaping a sustainable future through the fund. Initiatives are aimed at addressing pressing community needs while advancing Abu Dhabi’s sustainability goals.

Abdullah Humaid Al Ameri of Ma’an reiterated the significance of their role: “As the official channel for social contributions, we facilitate partnerships that enhance community welfare and advance environmental initiatives”. This cooperation with the private sector aims to meet corporate social responsibility objectives while fostering community development.

Invitation for Participation

The Miral Impact Fund encourages individuals, organizations, and partners to contribute towards building a sustainable future. Proposals and contributions can be submitted through the fund’s website, which serves as a transparent platform for collective impact.

In conclusion, the launch of the Miral Impact Fund is a promising initiative that aims to cultivate social welfare and environmental care in Abu Dhabi. By focusing on conservation, arts, health, and education, Miral, alongside Ma’an, aims to make a lasting impact, benefiting current and future generations while working towards a holistic and inclusive development of the community.
