An Insight into the DOMINISTA CHALLENGE Program
From June 3 to June 5, 2026, Dormy Inn Asahikawa will host the DOMINISTA CHALLENGE program, allowing high school students to explore the dynamic world of hospitality. Organized by Kyoritsu Maintenance Co., Ltd., this initiative is designed to equip students with real-world experience in the hotel industry.
What is the DOMINISTA CHALLENGE?
The DOMINISTA CHALLENGE is an innovative career experience program organized by Dormy Inn and Kyoritsu Resort, aimed at high school students across Japan. Since its inception in 2019, this program has involved over 100 schools, nurturing students' career perspectives and encouraging them to think about their futures. Participants will engage in a variety of hands-on activities including front desk customer service, room cleaning, and managing preparations for the hotel's large communal bath.
The Importance of Career Education
In today’s uncertain society and economy, understanding the significance of work and finding fulfillment in it has become increasingly crucial for children. With the decline of population in many local communities, fostering a sense of belonging and empowering youth to actively tackle regional challenges is vital. Through the DOMINISTA CHALLENGE program, Kyoritsu Maintenance aims to instill the values of empathy and joy in working, providing students with opportunities to connect with the essence of hospitality.
As globalization continues to shape our society, experiencing customer service in diverse settings is invaluable. Such experiences teach students the importance of collaboration and help cultivate a rich understanding of both career choices and local pride.
