For three consecutive years, Rakuten Mobile has clinched the top position overall, excelling in eight out of nine evaluation categories. In the recent survey, Rakuten Mobile stood out in significant categories such as "Enrollment Procedures," "Campaigns," "Ease of Initial Setup," "Pricing Plans," "Device Lineup," "Usage Fees," "Customer Support," and "Value-Added Services." Additionally, it maintained the highest score in both the "Recommendation Intent" and "Retention Intent" categories, affirming its reputation among users.

A Notable Achievement


This year's recognition marks the fourth time Rakuten Mobile has achieved overall first place, having previously won this accolade in 2021, 2023, and now 2025. Furthermore, Rakuten Mobile continues to demonstrate its leadership in pricing plans by winning this category for five consecutive years.

To gain a comprehensive understanding of customer preferences, the survey evaluated various aspects of mobile services between July 29, 2025, and August 22, 2025. A sample size of 7,740 individuals participated, each having experience with a mobile carrier service since 2024. Criteria included active engagement in service selection and knowledge of monthly fees, ensuring a fair and thorough evaluation.

Innovative Solutions for Customers


In response to the economic pressures on household budgets brought about by rising prices, Rakuten Mobile has introduced several initiatives and campaigns to support its customers. Starting in June, a special campaign catering to seniors aged 65 and above provided the "Rakuten Strongest Plan" at essentially zero cost for one year, alongside a six-month complimentary "15-minute unlimited calls & Safety Package."

This Fall, the company launched the "Rakuten Strongest U-NEXT" plan, which allows customers to enjoy a wide array of video content, including sports, films, dramas, and live music, all accompanied by unlimited data for a monthly fee of 2,980 yen (tax included: 3,278 yen) until the end of January 2026. After February, the monthly cost will rise to 3,980 yen (tax included: 4,378 yen).

Furthermore, Rakuten Mobile is proud to expand its device offerings, having recently included innovative tech brands like "Nothing" and the "Google Pixel" series. By doing so, they aim to boost customer satisfaction in product selection, while introducing attractive purchasing options such as the "Super Premium Upgrade Program" which provides customers with cost-effective access to the latest devices.
