This event is co-hosted by BOOK HOTEL Jimbocho and Hayakawa Publishing, and it invites participants to immerse themselves in the world of Sherlock Holmes while exploring the district's rich literary heritage.

The adventure begins at the BOOK HOTEL Jimbocho, where participants will play the role of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. The main objective is to discover the rare first edition of A Study in Scarlet hidden somewhere in the bookstore-laden streets and cafes of Jimbocho. Each step taken in this immersive experience will reveal clues and insights about the local culture, making it an enlightening journey for both mystery enthusiasts and avid readers alike.

As you navigate through Jimbocho, you will encounter unique puzzles crafted from the area's history. The narrative unfolds through a series of booklets that each contain their own set of mysteries to solve. Only by solving one mystery can you access the next booklet, with a total of five to complete for those who wish to claim the title of top detective.

In addition to the main mystery, two extra challenges will be presented at the end of the event. Those brave enough to tackle these enigmas will earn exclusive prizes including custom stickers and premium coffee beans.
