Celebrate Creativity in the Metaverse: Workshop for Young Minds
Tokyo is spearheading a unique initiative aimed at fostering creativity and digital literacy among elementary and middle school students through the "Tokyo Children’s Creative Lab" (known as "Kurilabo"). This innovative program encourages young participants to explore their imaginations and acquire digital skills in a fun, interactive environment.
Workshop Overview
On November 22nd, students are invited to participate in a workshop that promises to be both educational and engaging. This event is specially designed for those in the 4th to 6th grades of elementary school, as well as students in the 1st to 3rd grades of middle school living or studying in Tokyo. In this workshop, students will dive into the digital realm of the metaverse, specifically participating in a virtual tour called the "Virtual Edo-Tokyo". Here, they will encounter the diverse attractions of Tokyo and draw inspiration to create their own personalized virtual spaces.
Experience Virtual Edo-Tokyo
During the session, each participant will control their avatar in the metaverse, allowing them to explore and connect with others. The Virtual Edo-Tokyo tour will serve as a creative springboard for attendees as they craft their ideal virtual environments based on their interests. After designing their unique spaces, participants will have the opportunity to visit each other's creations, fostering collaboration and inspiration in a digital setting. By sharing their imaginative outputs, students will enhance their expression skills and digital creativity.
