Constellis Expands Its Footprint at Guantanamo Bay

On February 25, 2025, Constellis, a leading provider of mission support services, announced that its subsidiary Centerra has been awarded a substantial five-year construction contract worth $249 million at the U.S. Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. This new contract, known as the Multiple-Award Construction Contract (MACC), includes essential renovation, construction, and repair projects that are key to supporting the operations of the U.S. Department of Defense.

The scope of work under the contract encompasses a variety of services such as Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build for various facilities. These projects will serve critical functions including industrial operations, infrastructure development, administrative offices, training facilities, and community support structures. This contract signals the ongoing trust and reliance the U.S. military has placed in Constellis to deliver high-quality construction services in a dynamic operational environment.

Terry Ryan, the CEO of Constellis, emphasized the importance of this contract: "This contract reflects Constellis' continued capability to deliver critical construction services to the rapidly evolving mission at Guantanamo Bay. We are proud to expand our longstanding partnership with the U.S. military and in this increasingly dynamic theater of operations."

Constellis has established a strong presence in Guantanamo since it first began operations there. Over the past eight years, the company has successfully completed over $165 million worth of work, demonstrating its efficiency and reliability. The previous iterations of the MACC saw Constellis involved in over 45 task orders, in addition to 110 self-performed design-bid-build orders. This extensive experience enables Constellis to mobilize quickly, ensuring that the next phases of work can commence with minimal delay.

With more than 140 personnel currently based at Guantanamo Bay, Constellis is well-positioned to tackle the upcoming projects under this new contract swiftly and efficiently. The firm’s history of delivering comprehensive construction and facility maintenance services worldwide positions them as a key player in supporting military operations.
