In March 2025, Japan's premium sake brand,
SAKE HUNDRED, hosted an elegant pairing dinner at
THE UKAI TAIPEI in Taipei, Taiwan, marking a significant event just three months after starting exports to the region. The dinner attracted 23 affluent guests, including influencers, who came to experience the brand's luxurious sake offerings.
The event showcased SAKE HUNDRED's flagship lineup of nine products, featuring remarkable selections such as

Three months into exporting to Taiwan, SAKE HUNDRED has already supplied over 20 establishments, including six Michelin-listed restaurants, demonstrating a successful entry into the market. Taiwan's market appears particularly promising for Japanese sake, ranking fifth globally in export value. The country's demand for sake has notably increased, with a remarkable 5.3-fold growth in export value over the last 15 years. Notably, Taiwan stands out as the only top five exporting country to have continuously increased its export unit prices for over a decade.
On March 22, the dinner commenced with a toast featuring
SHINSEI. The carefully curated menu included delicate dishes like
raw scallops with spring vegetable jelly paired with the effervescent sake, and savory
seafood ramen complemented by
BYAKKO. The balance of flavors was further demonstrated with
BYAKKO BESPOKE, paired with
lava-grilled dishes, while a sumptuous
wagyu tenderloin was perfectly matched with
NIKO, showcasing the exceptional taste and aromatic depth of the sake.
Guests were enthusiastic about the dining experience. One couple remarked, “It was our first encounter with SAKE HUNDRED’s sake. The brand's story is captivating, and we were delighted to have the CEO join us today. The enthusiasm displayed during the event has prompted SAKE HUNDRED to plan a similar pairing dinner at
Ukai-tei Kaohsiung, another prominent restaurant in one of Taiwan's major port cities, targeting a summer launch.
