UNIQLO TOKYO and GU Revolutionize Shopping with Hotel Delivery Service

Innovative Hotel Delivery Service by UNIQLO and GU

In a bid to enrich the shopping experience for tourists, UNIQLO TOKYO and GU at the Marronnier Gate Ginza 2 have launched a convenient hotel delivery service. Initiated in March 2023 as part of a pilot program, this service has since proven to significantly enhance the shopping experience for many visitors to Tokyo.

A Solution to Tourist Challenges

Ginza, a bustling area known for attracting tourists from around the globe, often presents unique challenges. Many visitors find themselves burdened by increasing amounts of shopping bags, which can prevent them from enjoying their sightseeing adventures or dining experiences to the fullest. Understanding this, UNIQLO and GU have partnered with Airporter to streamline the shopping process.

The hotel delivery service allows customers to leave their purchased items in the stores, where Airporter will take care of the rest. This means that tourists can freely explore the city without the hassle of encumbering baggage, thereby encouraging them to buy more. Interestingly, the pilot program revealed that a significant number of customers indicated they purchased additional items precisely because of the availability of the delivery service.
