ITRI Unveils Future-Forward Innovations at CES 2025 with Reliance Biotech Partnership
ITRI Steals the Spotlight at CES 2025 with Innovative Showcases
The Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) made a notable entrance at CES 2025, showcasing ten groundbreaking wellness and smart medical technologies. The event, held in Las Vegas, saw the participation of Howard Shu, a two-time U.S. badminton Olympian, who demonstrated the AI Badminton Trainer, embodying the blend of sports and technology. Shu shared his excitement about the machine's capacity to deliver performance insights that would normally elude human perception.
Highlighting AI in Sports Training
In a thrilling live demonstration, Shu engaged with the AI Badminton Trainer, a device designed to analyze and enhance athletic performance through data feedback. He stated, "It's fascinating to see how this machine provides data that the human eye might miss, like the actual speed of a player's shot. Better insights lead to refined skills, and I believe this technology will revolutionize racket sports training."
ITRI is keen to push the boundaries of sports performance and has identified this technology as a critical asset for athletes seeking to gain a competitive edge. The AI-driven approach to training and recovery promises to support athletes' longevity in the sport.
New Ventures in Medical Technology
In addition to its sporting showcases, ITRI announced a strategic partnership with Reliance Medical Technology Group's subsidiary, Reliance Biotech Corporation. This collaboration focuses on the commercial rollout of the iKNOBeads platform, aimed at enhancing immunotherapy treatments for cancer and autoimmune diseases. Edwin Liu, president of ITRI, emphasized the importance of this partnership in strengthening ITRI’s position in the biomedical sector on a global scale.
He noted, "This collaboration will enable us to explore new opportunities in immunotherapy, addressing the rising demand worldwide. Our aim is to leverage our technological capabilities alongside Reliance's extensive market access to benefit patients globally."
The iKNOBeads technology utilizes magnetic microbeads that efficiently activate immune cells, representing a pivotal step toward better accessibility in cancer treatment. Sean Ishihara, Chairman of RMT Group, expressed optimism about the potential success of iKNOBeads in the U.S. and its anticipated expansion into various global markets, including Asia and Europe.
