Shimane Prefecture has recently announced the adoption of the AI-driven digital adoption platform (DAP) "TechTouch" for its upcoming financial accounting system, which serves 220 departments within its administrative body. Developed by TechTouch Inc., a leading firm in the DAP market in Japan, this strategic decision aims to enhance operational efficiency and provide an intuitive user experience for its employees, allowing them to complete complex accounting tasks without relying heavily on manuals.

Background of the Adoption



As part of its proactive push for digital transformation (DX) to improve accessibility for citizens and operational efficiency, Shimane Prefecture is set to launch its new financial accounting system in February 2026. This system will be an upgrade to the current version, addressing long-standing issues related to complex screen transitions and industry-specific terminology that have resulted in user errors and frequent inquiries.
