Dublin Tennis Club Embraces Sustainability with Solar Installation

In a commendable move towards sustainability, Meadowvale Tennis Club in Dublin has partnered with Sungrow, a leader in photovoltaic inverter technology and energy storage systems, to install a solar energy system. This initiative underscores the club’s dedication to providing affordable sports options while significantly reducing its electricity expenses.

The newly implemented solar power system consists of 34 rooftop photovoltaic (PV) modules coupled with a 10kW hybrid inverter. This combination effectively converts sunlight into usable electricity, while 26kWh of battery storage ensures energy availability during low sunlight hours or peak demand times. To make energy management even more efficient, Sungrow's iSolarCloud monitoring solution has also been integrated, enabling the club to oversee and optimize their clean energy consumption.

Peadar Donohoe, the Membership Secretary of Meadowvale Tennis Club, remarked, "Our motto has always been affordable tennis for all. Our electricity bills were exceedingly high, and this installation will drastically reduce those costs—our members are thrilled."
