Visa, Street Soccer USA, and Bank of America Unite for FIFA World Cup 2026™ Community Initiatives

With just 75 days remaining until the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup 2026™, Visa, in collaboration with Street Soccer USA and Bank of America, is stepping up its community contributions by introducing Visa Street Soccer Parks in every host city across the United States. These parks will not only serve as venues for soccer but will also unleash a wealth of opportunities for education and community engagement.

The initiative is particularly focused on transforming underused spaces into vibrant centers that provide resources for sport, learning, and local connection. Visa Street Soccer Parks will be rolled out in all 11 host cities in the U.S. These cities include notable locations such as Boston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, and Tacoma. These parks embody a vision of using sport to bring people together and uplift communities.

As Kim Lawrence, Regional President of Visa North America, pointed out, this endeavor is about moving from planning to direct action as the tournament approaches. "This tournament is a global phenomenon, but its legacy starts at the grassroots level—within the neighborhoods that will welcome fans and families. By expanding Visa Street Soccer Parks, we are creating opportunities that will endure long after the World Cup concludes," she explained.

Each park has been meticulously designed to cater to the specific needs of the communities it serves. They feature two high-quality soccer fields sponsored by Bank of America, along with lighting for extended playtime, learning centers, and flexible gathering spaces. These facilities will be utilized for recreational activities, academic support, workforce readiness training, and community engagement initiatives, collaboratively delivered with local partners.

David Tyrie, Bank of America’s President of Marketing, Digital, and Specialized Consumer Client Solutions, emphasized that these parks symbolize more than just a place to enjoy sports; they stand as platforms for fostering connections, promoting healthy activities, and supporting personal and community growth.

This program has already showcased tangible benefits since the launch of the first park in San Francisco last year. Since then, additional parks in cities like Denver, Kansas City, and New York City have been actively engaging local youth and adults in leagues, educational programs, and job readiness workshops. Parks set to be operational soon in Nashville and Atlanta are still in development, with more details to be announced in the future.
