Grace Adventures Ministries Announces Transition in Leadership with President Steve Prudhomme’s Retirement
Leadership Transition at Grace Adventures Ministries
Grace Adventures Ministries, a prominent organization dedicated to empowering students and strengthening families since its inception in 1946, has announced the retirement of its long-serving President, Steve Prudhomme, effective March 31, 2026. This significant leadership change marks the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter for the ministry.
For nearly three decades, Prudhomme has been a monumental figure within Grace Adventures, leaving behind a legacy characterized by impactful discipleship and positive transformations within the community. His journey with Grace Adventures has been one of unwavering commitment to Christ-centered leadership and family-oriented programs. Dan VanTimmeren, Chair of the Board of Directors, stated, “For 29 years, Steve has been the visionary behind Grace Adventures Ministries. His passion for leadership, dedication to the Gospel, and innovative approach to ministry have shaped countless lives.”
As part of a thorough and prayerful succession plan, the Board has unanimously appointed Ben Vander Kodde, the current Vice President of Advancement, as Prudhomme's successor. Vander Kodde, who has dedicated 25 years to Grace Adventures in various roles, embodies a deep understanding of the ministry's culture and mission.
“I am humble and excited to step into this role,” Vander Kodde commented. “Grace Adventures Ministries has significantly impacted my faith and leadership journey. I am committed to honoring the foundation laid by Steve while embracing God's guidance as we look to the future.” Alongside Vander Kodde, the leadership trio also includes Chad Coppess, Vice President of Program, and Doug Fouser, Vice President of Operations, ensuring a robust and experienced leadership team moving forward.
Under Prudhomme's leadership, Grace Adventures expanded its offerings from a few summer camps to a multifaceted ministry encompassing youth camps, family-centered experiences, leadership training, and continuous support for churches and organizations year-round across the Midwest. This growth showcases Prudhomme's dedication and strategic vision for the ministry.
To commemorate Prudhomme’s invaluable contributions, a formal celebration will be held on November 9, 2025, at Grace Adventures Campus. This event promises to honor his legacy and contributions to the ministry and the wider community.
